The 4th ANNUAL FRIENDSHIP & DIALOGUE DINNER and KID'S ART CONTEST AWARDS

On October 15, 2008; Anatolia Cultural Center hosted The 4th ANNUAL FRIENDSHIP & DIALOGUE DINNER and KID'S ART CONTEST AWARDS. The program brought together several community and religious leaders of South Florida, including Broward County Mayor Josephus Eggelletion, Jr., to share and promote mutual understanding.

Anatolia Cultural Center is dedicated to bringing communities of different religions and cultures together. The purpose of this is to promote compassion, cooperation, partnership, and community service through interfaith and intercultural dialogue and conversation. This year's event held at Hyatt Regency Hotel at Pier Sixty Six, Fort Lauderdale FL.

The program featured the following prominent speakers:
Welcoming Speech: Mustafa Gokhan Sahin, Anatolia Cultural Center Vice President

Keynote Speaker : Prof. Nathan Katz, Director of Center for the Study of Spirituality, Florida International University

Featured Speaker : Rev. Thom Shafer, Senior Pastor, First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables

The program brought religious and community leaders of South Florida together in order to discuss solutions for Common Problems, Tolerance and Mutual Understanding. At the end of the program Peace and Dialogue Awards were presented to selected leaders and Kim Reyka , wife of BSO SGT. Chris Reyka who was shot at the Walgreens in Pompano beach, will be awarded with Commitment award.

The program also featured Art Contest Award Ceremony (Peace of World in the eyes of Kid's) and 2008 Peace and Dialog Awards.
