TURKISH COFFEE NIGHTS
What can make us more comfortable than a "Turkish Coffee"...
Once a month, here in ACC, there is a coffee night with our neighbors and friends.

Come and enjoy the environment with Turkish Coffee, music and some traditional refreshments.

TOURNEYS
During December 2005, there has been a ping-pong (table tennis) tourney including 20 entrants. Ahmet Berat Conkar was the winner.

COURSES FOR CHILDREN
Our volunteers teach Turkish language and culture. Classes are for ages between 7 and 17 , on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon.

TURKISH LANGUAGE CLASSES FOR ADULTS
We have classes every Saturday, from 12 to 2 pm. There is no charge. Please contact us for more information.

TURKISH COOKING CLASS
In the first class, we have started to teach one of Turkish Desserts since there is an idiom used in Turkey that is “Let’s eat sweet and talk sweet.” This is our intention and wishes to continue the class with friendship and warmness.

If you are also interested in learning how to make Turkish food or tasting some samples of Turkish cuisine in a friendly environment, feel free to come to Cooking Class. ( Every Saturday between 2.30 PM and 4.00 PM)  This class has been organized by ICCD volunteers and is completely FREE.

ABRAHAMIC DINNERS
“The table of Abraham” is an expression in our culture which represents sharing your food with others.

Hence, ACC hosts “Abrahamic Dinners” where representatives of other faith-based organizations are invited to share food, mutual respect and a friendly atmosphere.

ANNUAL INTERFAITH DIALOG DINNERS
Our faith is a significant part of our culture and ACC is dedicated to promote mutual understanding and respect between people of different faiths. Annual Interfaith Dialog Dinners bring leaders of various faith-based organizations together opening the doors to conversation and tolerance.

EID CELEBRATIONS
Guests from Turkish-American community participate in the Eid Celebrations. Turkish music, theatre plays, poems, songs are performed. Refreshments and different types of Turkish desserts and pastries are served.

ASHURA DAY
This traditional Turkish dessert (Noah’s pudding) is served to our friends and neighbors during the month of March every year.

TRIP TO TURKEY
Turkey has a strong historical and religious background and is known as a land of peace and harmony where different faiths coexist peaceably. This reality makes Turkey a land of historical and biblical treasures. ACC’s goal is to make The wonderful Biblical Treasures of Turkey closer to Floridians. Our groups who travel to Turkey come back with remarkable memories.
